The CGA is one of the longest established and most widely recognised insurers of thatched property in the UK. Therefore, following recent negotiations, we are delighted to announce a substantially enhanced insurance policy which is exclusively available for thatched properties (whether listed or otherwise).

We've worked closely with owners of thatched property ever since our foundation back in 1893 and as such can empathise with many of the specific intricacies involved in thatched property maintenance and protection. The CGA's insurance arm was established in the mid 1940s and therefore we are fortunate in having built a wealth of experience in the area which enables us to match our knowledge of thatched property with the insurance market.
