Recent Grants

Over the years the CGA Charitable Foundation has benefitted many good causes - suggested by our members - throughout the country. Here are some example of causes and organizations that have recieived grants in recent years.

  • CHASE: £1,250 towards the ongoing work of a wonderful charity supporting children with life-threatening illnesses.
  • Chalke Valley Cricket Ground Appeal: £1,500 for purchase of gang mowers for new ground delivering a sporting facility to five active villages
  • St Mary's Church, Chediston: £500 for sponsorship of 'Old Time Farming Day'.
  • Isabel Hospice, East Herefordshire: £800 to purchase a new syringe driver.
  • St Chuthbert's Church, Bewcastle: £225 to install a Hearing Loop.
  • Hadspen Village Hall: £1,500 to pay for facing the front of the hall with local stone.
  • Derry Hill Scouts Group: £1,000 for some much-needed equipment.
  • Brainwave: £695.75 for special seating for patients suffering brain damage.
  • Wylye Parish Council: £1,044 to buy tables and chairs for the village hall.
  • The Cherries: £850 for a specially adapted table at this childrens' home.
  • Coombe St Nicholas playing fields: £1,254 for new benches.
  • Second Chance: Angling equipment for disadvantaged children
  • Blackwells Village Hall Club: £1,500 for two new windows.
  • All Saints, Herodsfoot: £250 To fund a disabled access facility.
  • MTB 102 Trust: £500 towards the upkeep of a rare WWII Motor Torpedo Boat.
  • Dorothy House Hospice: £698 for a laptop for use by a nurse making home visits.
  • St Mary's Church, Amport: £750 for new chairs.
  • Prospect Hospice: £1,113.90 for new personal alarm systems for patients.
